Woodstock Music Tribute at Wildstein Center

Peace of Woodstock

SFSC Performing Arts presents Peace of Woodstock, a musical tribute, for two performances on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts.

Woodstock was a three-day celebration of peace and music at Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, N.Y., that became one of the most profound events in the history of music. The lineup of performers featured rock and roll icons such as Janis Joplin, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Joe Cocker, Joan Baez, and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

All seats for Peace of Woodstock are $12. Tickets and information are available online at sfscarts.org and at the SFSC Box Office, located at the theater entrance.

Peace of Woodstock will include the music that defined a generation by Ritchie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, Santana, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe McDonald, The Who, and more.

“From the opening acoustic act of Ritchie Havens to the explosive, electric sounds of Jimi Hendrix, this concert promises a journey back in time,” said Cindy Garren, SFSC director of cultural programs. “The music will definitely bring back memories of peace, love and flower power.”
