GPS Launches Quick Start Orientation

SFSC debuts a new, streamlined Guide to Personal Success (GPS) student orientation called Quick Start with pilot testing in mid-January.

GPS was developed more than five years ago to help new students transition to college and was a component of SFSC’s reaffirmation of its accreditation. Although the five-year project period has ended, GPS is now a permanent program within the college.

The GPS Quick Start will be managed by the staff of the Career Development Center. It will make college orientation more efficient for incoming students and remains a mandatory requirement for all new and returning students prior to initial class registration. The SFSC University Center, Room 208, is now the primary training center for Student Services and will be the new location for GPS Quick Start check-in and delivery.
