Phi Beta Lambda Raising Money for Girl’s Education

SFSC’s Phi Beta Lamda chapter has set the goal of selling 200 YUDA wristbands in two weeks to help pay for the education a Guatemalan girl. Most families in Guatemala cannot afford to send their children to school after eighth grade.  There are no public high schools, and private schools are very expensive.

YUDA Bands are handmade in Guatemala from leather, coconut shells, and string.  Phi Beta Lamda’s sales drive will help pay for at least one year of schooling for Veleyda Huz. Bands are $7 each.
