Panther Action This Week

In athletic action this week, the Lady Panther Softball team swept a doubleheader from Polk State College on Tuesday, winning game one 2-1 and game two 3-2.  On Thursday, the Panthers hosted Florida Southwestern for the chance to qualify for the FCSAA State tournament. The visitors defeated the Panthers by scores of 8-0 in game one and 8-0 in game two. The Panthers finished the season 12-30 and 7-13.

In baseball action on Monday, the Panthers lost 8-0 to Hillsborough CC.  Wednesday the Panthers opened a three-game set with Polk State losing game one on Wednesday 5-1, and game two on Thursday 10-0.  The Panthers 20-27, 7-17 will travel to Winter Haven on Saturday to play game three of the series.  The Panthers will play their last two home games on Monday and Wednesday as they host Florida Southwestern for a 6 pm start both days.
