Student Government Holds Interviewing Workshop at Hardee Campus
The Hardee Student Government Association sponsored workshops, Tuesday, March 20 and Friday, March 23, on interview skills for students attending the Hardee Campus. The presenters from SFSC were Stacy Sharp, Vent Crawford, Tara Jeffries, and SFSC trustee Derren Bryan. More than 30 students attended the sessions to learn how to communicate with prospective employers including greeting, body language, appropriate responses to employer questions, and appropriate questions to ask them.
The students were presented with information regarding appropriate dress for interviews and the importance of first impressions. Students were instructed on resume development and researching potential positions and employers. The students engaged in interview practice sessions. On April 28, the Hardee Student Government Association will provide students with an opportunity to participate in mock interviews for practice and to receive feedback.
