HCSO Holds Bass Tournament Oct. 28

The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office is holding its second annual Bass Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 28, safelight to 1 p.m., and starts from the Istokpoga Park Boat Ramp at Lake Istokpoga. Proceeds from the fishing tournament will be used to send underprivileged and at-risk children for six days to a wilderness summer camp at the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch in Inglis, Fla.

The entry fee is $100 per boat. Allowed in each boat are two adult anglers and two children under the age of 16 with licensed adult anglers.Two fishing shirts will be given to the first 35 boats/teams that complete registration. With their tournament entry, participants will be automatically entered for an RTIC cooler giveaway.

The tournament’s first place winner receives $500, second place winner receives $300, third place winner receives $200, and fourth place winner receives free entry into next year’s tournament.

Raffle tickets can be purchased from Officer Lehman: $5 each or five tickets for $20. Raffle prizes are a cooler and tumbler package, 50/50 drawing, gift cards, and more.
