SFSC Celebrates Commencement on Dec. 12

Commencement Dec. 12 at 6:45 p.m.SFSC celebrates Commencement with a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 12. The ceremony begins at 6:45 p.m. in the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts, Highlands Campus.

Robing areas for those participating in the ceremonies are: MOFAC, Room A-50, for platform guests; Performing Arts Center Green Room, Room A-15, for faculty and staff; and Panther Gym, for all students. It is suggested that everyone report to robing areas by 6 p.m. for the 6:45 p.m. ceremony.

Some 282 students will have met the SFSC requirements by Fall Commencement. Of these, 27 will receive their Bachelor of  Science Degree in Nursing, 84 receive associate degrees, 110 receive career certificates or college credit certificates, and 52 receive their State of Florida High School Diplomas. Students participating in the Commencement ceremony will total 178.

Mace bearer and chief marshal for this year’s ceremony is Tom Bush, and marshals are Elizabeth Andrews, Brian Bohlman, Courtney Green, Robert Hampton, Dr. Theresa James, Shaila Jensen, Cynthia Kinser, Tasha Morales, Ricardo Pantoja, Michelle Macbeth, Claire Miller, and Asena Mott.

A reception will be held in the Catherine P. Cornelius Students Services and Classroom Complex (Building B) immediately following the Commencement ceremony.

The Commencement rehearsal takes place Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m., in the Alan Jay Wildstein Center for the Performing Arts, Highlands Campus.
