As we progress through this week, there are some communication and instruction tools that will make the transition a little bit easier for SFSC employees:
Call Forwarding to Cell or Home Phone
Removing call forwarding from your office phone
To remove call forwarding from your office phone, simply press the “CFwdALL” button again.
Accessing voice mail from another phone (off-campus)
To listen to messages: Press 1
Deleting a message: After listening to a message, press 3
Forwarding a message:
You can access your Outlook email through panthercentral.southflorida.edu. When you log into Panther Central, click on the group of nine dots in the upper left corner. In the pop-up box, Outlook is one of the Microsoft programs that you can click on.
Within Outlook, there is a chat option that you can use to communicate with your coworkers. When logging into Outlook through Panther Central, there will be an icon with an S in the top right corner that you can click on. You can enter the name of any SFSC coworker in the Search box to open a chat box with that person.
SFSC offices and departments can use Microsoft Teams to communicate with each other. Microsoft offers video tutorials that you can view to learn how to use Teams.
The Faculty tab in Panther Central includes a tutorial in the Educational Technology channel that demonstrates the Whiteboard feature in Smarthinking.
For those who have taken Faculty/Adjunct Training online, there is a review of Brightspace tools for individual courses.
There are also a variety of Learning Resources for Faculty and Staff within the Brightspace section of Panther Central.
SFSC will communicate information through the variety of social media outlets it employs.
