Pam Vestal Retires

Pam Vestal is retiring as purchasing assistant at the end of the month. On March 26, Dr. Tom Leitzel presented her with a resolution commending her for nearly three decades of service to South Florida State College.

Pam began working at SFSC in 1990 as a part-time general clerk in the library. In 1992, she became a full-time purchasing assistant, a position she held for 27 years.

Signed by Dr. Leitzel and Tami Cullens, chair of the SFSC District Board of Trustees, the resolution recounted Pam’s contributions as an active member of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) and a regular participant in the United Way’s annual Day of Caring. The resolution acknowledged that “dependability, loyalty, and talent have made Pam a not only a valuable employee, but a wonderful friend to all.”

In retirement, Pam plans to continue serving the College as a volunteer for Cultural Programs and to look for other ways to keep up with the friends she has made here over the years.
