Transition into Medicare Workshop on Friday Afternoon

A “Transition into Medicare” workshop will be provided by Valery Insurance Agency on Friday, Sept. 22, from 2 to 3 p.m., in the SFSC University Center Auditorium on the Highlands Campus, following the Wellness Fair. This educational workshop will provide an understanding of timelines, options, and costs when you start Medicare. The workshops will cover enrolling in Part A and/or Part B, Medicare A and B coverage gaps, comparison of Medicare options (traditional vs. Medicare Advantage), Part “D” prescriptions, money saving prescription tips, and how to use the Florida Retirement System (FRS) health insurance subsidy tax free.

Those who should attend this “Health Insurance Options at Retirement” workshop are retirees and spouses, employees nearing retirement, and employees insuring a spouse. No need to register for the workshop. Just show up.
