Now Available: Weight and Diabetes Management Programs for 2026
South Florida State College employees enrolled in a State Group Health Insurance Plan can now apply for two new wellness programs designed to support long-term health goals. These programs are offered at no additional cost (normal copays, coinsurance, and deductibles
still apply).
Weight Management Pilot Program (WMP)
• Covers FDA-approved weight management medications (for those who qualify)
• Includes a free wellness program with guidance and accountability
• Open to 2,800 eligible participants enrolled in Aetna, Florida Blue, or UnitedHealthcare
• Participants must meet BMI and health criteria and have a provider referral
Diabetes Management Pilot Program (DMP)
• Includes a glucose monitor with real-time feedback, test strips, and supplies
• Offers live coaching with a Certified Diabetes Educator
• Open to 2,000 eligible participants enrolled in Aetna, Florida Blue, or UnitedHealthcare
• Participants must be diagnosed with diabetes and have a provider referral
