The Security Tea – January 2026

New year, new you… and new passwords, too.
Weak or reused passwords remain one of the biggest security risks in the digital workplace. Cybercriminals target common passwords first because they’re easy to guess and often reused across multiple accounts — giving them a direct line into your data.
🔐 Level up your password hygiene this year:
  • Create strong, unique passwords for every account.
  • Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
  • Enable multifactor authentication (MFA) whenever available.
  • Avoid writing passwords on sticky notes or saving them in browsers.
This month’s Security Tea: Don’t let old passwords hold you back. Strengthen your cyber hygiene and safeguard your information as we step into a new year.

Time to break up with that overused password for good.
