Felecia Dozier Receives NAACP Award

She was honored for her work as an educator, community advocate, and mental health therapist. When remarking about her award, Dozier fondly recalled that Sanders-Hill was one of her instructors and her mentor.

Sanders-Hill was active in human and civil rights and education. She was a teacher within the Highlands County School District and, later, a member of the Highlands County School Board. She served as a Speech professor and coordinator of the College Reach-Out Program at SFSC until 1994, when she retired from the College.
