Foundation Holds Annual Christmas Luncheon
The South Florida State College Foundation held its annual Christmas luncheon at the Hotel Jacaranda on Dec. 10. The luncheon drew 160 guests who turned out for the yearly fundraiser that features a raffle of holiday-themed gifts. Funds raised by the SFSC Foundation support scholarships for students attending SFSC. This year’s luncheon and raffle raised $3,320.
The SFSC Foundation invited Gus Ramirez, a scholarship recipient, to address to the guests. Ramirez said he was eager for supporters of the foundation to know their generosity had a direct affect on SFSC’s students by making it possible for them to complete their programs and move on to careers.
