AFC Hosts Annual Holiday Luncheon
SFSC celebrated the end of 2015 – as well as the end of the fall term – with a holiday potluck luncheon on Dec. 16. More than 150 employees, retirees, and trustees turned out for food, fellowship, and the opportunity to mark notable accomplishments of the year. Following the luncheon, Dr. Tom C. Leitzel conducted the swearing in of new officers for SFSC’s chapter of the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC).
The luncheon is also the time when Dr. Leitzel honors employees for their service to the college with the presentation of the President’s Awards, which went to 10 employees.
The luncheon, sponsored by SFSC’s AFC chapter, raises money for scholarships through a 50/50 drawing and a raffle. The raffle items, 57 in all, were worth more than $4,000.
